BAS is a staff agency of the Department of Agriculture (DA).

WE aim to provide with excellence reliable and timely agriculture statistics and other information needs of policy makers, planners, farmers, fisherfolk and other clients.

THUS, we pledge to:

AGSTAT INFORMATION SUPPORT SERVICES

1. Collect, compile and release official agriculture and fisheries statistics based on:
   • Statistical survey
   • Monitoring Activities
   • Secondary Data Gathering

2. Exercise technical supervision over all data collection centers covering:
   • 80 Privincial Operations Centers (POCs)
   • 16 Regional Operations Centers (ROCs)

3. Coordinate all agriculture statistics and economic research activities of all bureaus, corporations and offices of the DA.

4. Serve as the central information source and server of the DA's National Information Network.

5. Provide technical assistance to end-users in accessing and analyzing product and market information and technology:
   1. Walk-in Clients
   2. Phone-in Clients
   3. Written Query E-Mail /
   4. Web Query

6. Releases AGSTAT reports/information based on the calendar of Releases for Designated Statistics.
